Storm Clouds Darken Sky at North Carolina Beach

Severe thunderstorms rolled across southeastern North Carolina on Thursday, June 14. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning and said waterspouts were spotted with the storms.

Wind speeds up to 50 miles per hour were expected, the weather service said, and mariners north of Wrightsville Beach were warned to seek immediate shelter.
