High winds and large waves were seen along Florida’s coastline on Thursday, November 10, as storm surge warnings persisted in the area, the National Weather Service said.

Video taken by Mike Killian shows water thrashing in New Smyrna Beach on Thursday morning. A tropical storm warning and a storm surge warning were in effect for coastal Volusia County.

The National Hurricane Center said a dangerous storm surge would affect parts of coastal Florida and Georgia. The center added that tropical storm conditions would move northward into Thursday night. Credit: Mike Killian via Storyful
