The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said Monday morning that Sally “rapidly” strengthened into a hurricane with winds reaching 90 mph. The NHC warned of coastal flooding and “dangerous” storm surge.
Colby Perryman said this video shows flooding along Bienville Boulevard in Dauphin Island on Monday. Local media said flooding along Dauphin Island’s west end is “typical” when a storm approaches.
