Storm Surge Floods Roads Near SpaceX Launch Site in Texas
A storm surge flooded roads near the SpaceX launch facility in Cameron County, south Texas, on Tuesday, September 10, as Tropical Storm Francine moved northward from the Gulf of Mexico.
Footage from the Texas Department of Transportation shows vehicles passing through shallow floodwaters along State Highway 4, with the SpaceX facility in Boca Chica visible in the background.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) warned that the storm surge could be “life-threatening” in Louisiana and Mississippi.
