Storm Topples Trees, Knocks Out Power in Ohio's Allen County

A storm toppled trees and damaged power lines in Ohio’s Allen County, on Wednesday, July 10, leaving thousands without power. At least 4,814 customers in Lima remained without power as of 11 am on Thursday, according to electricity provider AEP.

The City of Lima said AEP estimated that 90 to 100 percent of customers would have power restored by midnight on Thursday. Crews were working to clear streets of limbs and fallen trees, the city said. Officials also advised motorists encountering disabled traffic lights to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
