Storm Willa Stirs Up Strong Waves off Mexico Coast

Authorities in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico’s Jalisco state said residents could return to their homes following evacuations over flood risk brought on by Storm Willa on October 24.

Speaking at a press conference, Mayor Arturo Davalos said some areas were still at risk due to engorged rivers and streams. He said emergency accommodation would be organized for those in need.

Residents in the neighboring states of Sinaloa and Nayarit were also evacuated from their homes due to flood concerns.
