Storms Bring Isolated Downpours to Tucson

Thunderstorms carrying heavy rain and wind moved over the Tucson area on Wednesday afternoon, October 5, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

The NWS had warned the storms were carrying wind gusts up to 40 mph and the potential to drop small hail.

Patricia Suflita Wilson said she filmed this footage from her back patio in Tucson as an isolated downpour hit nearby.

“I know they say monsoon is over. But Mother Nature decides these things!” she wrote on Twitter.

The NWS said it received reports that about 0.82 inches of rain was measured in Tucson by 6 pm Wednesday. Credit: Patricia Suflita Wilson via Storyful
