Stormy Daniels pulled of Celebrity Big Brother after 'row with producers'

Stormy Daniels reportedly pulled out of Celebrity Big Brother after a row with "controlling" producers - amid claims a last-minute custody issue also meant she was unable to appear.

The adult film star, who made international headlines with claims she was paid hush money over an alleged affair with Donald Trump , had been confirmed to feature in the Channel 5 show.

Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said she failed to enter the house on Thursday because of a "row with producers".

He added: "They insisted she conduct herself in a certain way - they attempted to control her and produce a certain result, which she did not feel comfortable with.

When asked to comment on reports from an "insider" that she quit after demanding extra money, Mr Avenatti said: "Complete b******t.

"They are spreading a false rumour."

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, later failed to appear on ITV's Loose Women on Friday despite arriving at the studio.

Presenter Kaye Adams said the 39-year-old could not go on screen because of legal issues.

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore spoke to Daniels off air before relaying the message to the audience.

She told viewers that a custody battle in the US was behind her decision not to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

Moore said: "This is her side of the story.

"She says that, late last night, she was due to be on Celebrity Big Brother and there was a custody development involving her daughter in America - she is in the middle of a divorce. She showed me an official email.

"She thought 'I can't commit', she said being a mother comes first. What she wanted to do was sort that out."

Moore said Daniels offered to appear on the Celebrity Big Brother live launch to explain the situation but was told she could not.

Moore added: "She says the stories about her asking for more money are rubbish."

She continued: "She is very angry, she feels as though she's had her power taken away from her.

"She wants to come on."

Daniels made the news with claims the president's then personal lawyer Michael Cohen paid for her silence days before the 2016 election.

She alleged the cash was to stop her claiming she had an affair with Mr Trump in 2006 .

The president denies the allegations.

Channel 5 has not responded to requests for a comment.
