After a fan tweeted the musician a heartfelt plea for the singer to appear at his dad’s funeral, the hip hop artist responded in the most amazing way.

Nasir Bockarie tweeted the star, saying that his dad had passed away the day he graduated, and that Blinded By Your Grace was their favourite song of his.

‘Bro my Dad passed away on the day of my graduation last week Friday. Our favourite song of yours was blinded by your grace. Would love it if you could preform this at his funeral next Thursday 21st December. Don’t worry if you can’t, I just thought I’d try my luck #Hopeful’, the message read.

To everyone’s amazement, Stormzy not only replied but actually agreed to attend the funeral and sing the song in tribute.

In true Stormzy fashion, the artist followed through on his promise, offering the bereaved man some respite.

‘All done bro! I’m actually speechless, praise god for humanity’, he gratefully replied.

Family members were taken aback by the gesture, too.

And people on social media were eager to spread the word of the good deed.

Proof that there is a lot of good in the world – we salute you, Stormzy. A true man of the people.
