After getting candid about his breakup from Maya Jama on new album Heavy Is The Head, Stormzy has now opened up about how he still wants to marry and have children with his ex-girlfriend.

The rapper, real name Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, and presenter split in August 2019 after four years together. A source said at the time it was Maya's decision, because "she wants to focus on her TV and radio career for now."

Since then, Stormzy has addressed the breakup in song 'Lessons', with the lyrics including:

"I can’t even look you in the eye, that’s ’cause of shame / Now you’re tryna block me out your mind, that’s ’cause of pain / Greatest love I ever knew, I poured it down the drain / Maybe it’s the only way we both call it a day.

"You gave me the world and then I gave you disrespect / Hand on my heart, this is my biggest of regrets."

While Maya has spoken out about single life, she hasn't addressed the lyrics - or Stormzy's latest interview, in which he opened up about still wanting to have children with and marry his ex-girlfriend. Wow.

"She's a f***ing G, bro," he said in a new YouTube interview with Charlamagne tha God. "I love her wholeheartedly. I've never loved anyone how I've loved her."

Speaking about a potential reconciliation, Stormzy continued, "I would love for that to happen but I don't know... I would love to be the man who she needs, I would love to do all the things that make this work. I want to marry her, I want to have her children."

Seemingly referencing what happened when - and why - they split, the rapper continued, "I was pacing around my kitchen, I was pacing up and down for days thinking... f**** sake bruv... this one reckless night. You... all of those things brother; marriage, kids, the love of my life.

"You have put all of those things at [risk], and now look you probably won't ever... you've lost that. You know what I mean? You've lost that."

Looks like the ball's well and truly in your court, Maya.
