Stranded Dolphin Released Back to Ocean by Cape May Coast Guard

A dolphin that became beached near Wildwood, New Jersey, was sent back to sea on Monday, March 20.

Members of the Cape May Coast Guard carried the dolphin in a tarp stretcher and eased it back into waters, as seen in this video.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, New Jersey, assisted in the dolphin’s rescue and transportation, according to information on the Defense Video Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS) and the US Coast Guard Mid-Atlantic. Credit: US Coast Guard District via Storyful
