Stranger Things is back on our screens in just a couple months and fans have been amped up with the release of new images and renewed talk of it being 'scariest series ever'.

Today, Netflix shared a gallery of first-look photos from Stranger Things 4, which picks up six months after the events of the previous series.

Set to be released in two volumes, with the first five episodes arriving on Netflix on 27 May and the second on 1 July, 2022, series four takes fans back to the town of Hawkins, Indiana.

The images show most of the original cast, including Winona Ryder, are returning and they will be joined by a few 'scary' newcomers.

While trailers have mainly focused on Eleven’s, played by Millie Bobby Brown, storyline and her new life in California, iconic horror actor Robert Englund, who starred in Nightmare on Elm Street, will join the show as Victor Creel, a disturbed man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.
