Stranger Things' Jonathan and Nancy are dating in real life

Let’s be honest, we all shipped Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler in Netflix original series ‘Stranger Things’, with the two characters uniting as Jonathan desperately searched for his missing younger brother, Will, and Nancy for her best friend, Barb.

Oh, Barb – remember her?

Fans of the show were left disappointed when the series ended with Nancy back in the arms of her boyfriend, Steve, leaving poor Jonathan safely in the ‘friendzone’ despite all that they went through together.

However, there is a slight tinge of happiness to this bittersweet love story, with it being confirmed that even though Jonathan and Nancy didn’t ever get together, the actors who played the troubled characters, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton, are actually dating in real life.

*Squeal*

The pair sparked romance rumours way back in September after they seemingly went on holiday to Spain together, and now a source has confirmed that the pair are the real deal.

Speaking to US publication Life & Style, the insider dished: “They’ve been together since before Season 2 of the Netflix series began filming in October.

“[They spend] every waking minute together, on set and off.”

And things are certainly getting serious as the source added: “Natalia brought Charlie to her hometown, Nashville, to meet her family.”

The couple have remained silent on the romance speculation on their respective social media pages, but they certainly looked cosy on the red carpet for last night’s SAG Awards.

Here’s hoping that sparks also fly between their Stranger Things’ alter egos in series two.
