Stranger Things season 5 shares new cast photos
Netflix has marked Stranger Things Day, celebrated every year on the day Will Byers went missing in season 1, with some fresh cast photos straight from the set of the fifth and final instalment.
On Twitter/X, the official account for the series posted four images, including a shot of the four protagonists Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp) in the Hawkins High cafeteria.
"Happy Stranger Things Day from the set of ST5!" the caption read.

The post also features a picture of David Harbour and Winona Ryder relaxing in between takes, as well as an image of Matarazzo as Dustin with co-stars Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), and Joe Keery (Steve Harrington).
Earlier today, Netflix revealed that season 5 will take place in 1987 and disclosed the titles of the eight episodes, which are as follows:
The Crawl
The Vanishing of
The Turnbow Trap
Sorcerer
Shock Jock
Escape from Camazotz - death bat or god of death
The Bridge
The Rightside Up
A few elements caught the attention of fans, namely a blacked out name in the title of episode 2, which may suggest that a key character could go missing.

Meanwhile, the title for episode 6 has the word Camazotz, which means 'death bat' in the Kʼiche' Mayan language of Guatemala. All clues seem to point to the return of the Demobats from season 4, which we still haven't forgiven for the death of beloved newcomer Eddie Munson.
Sadly, it's unlikely Eddie will return for the grand finale, but the new episodes are expected to get quite emotional after a dramatic cliffhanger in season 4.
The latest chapter ended with Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) lying unconscious in a hospital bed after a close encounter with supervillain Vecna (Jamie Campbell-Bower), leaving her fate hanging in the balance.
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix. Stranger Things season 5 is coming to Netflix in 2025. Stranger Things: The First Shadow is now booking until February 2025 at the Phoenix Theatre in London. Tickets are available now.
