Is there better way to celebrate Friday the 13th than with the most terrifying Stranger Things trailer ever? Of course not.
Netflix will be marking the most deadly day in horror by unleashing the final trailer for Stranger Things' second season, which is previewed with a spooky teaser straight out of '80s horror:
This teaser counts up to 13 with second-long shots from the new season, including Chief Hopper seemingly being tortured, a fearful Mike cupping his ears and a deeply disturbing hospital scene.
It's already clear that watching the final trailer once "will never be enough", just like the tagline promises at the end of Thursday's teaser.
The new seasons picks up in the aftermath of Will Byers's return from the Upside Down. What should be a time of celebration takes a dark turn when young Will starts having visions of a strange creature in the sky.
This "shadow monster", as the kids call it, is apparently so scary that it will make the Demogorgon practically seem tame by comparison.
"[This season is] all connected to this singular threat, which is tied into this shape that Will sees in the sky," co-creator Ross Duffer recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly: "Each episode is building on the last one. It gets much crazier than it ever got in season one."
Stranger Things returns to Netflix worldwide on Friday, October 27. Watch a previous teaser below:
