Summer is arriving and that means communities around Glasgow will be throwing street parties and festivals to celebrate the good weather.

One of the most popular around, particularly in the south side is the ever-popular Bungo in the Lanes festival.

The neighbourhood celebration is held in the back lanes of Strathbungo, and offers a variety of live entertainment, food stalls, and crafts.

The festival, which first began back in 2000, is returning on Saturday, June 22.

The free-to-attend event aims to bring life back to the famous cobbled lanes of the streets of the southside suburb which lies between Shawlands and Pollokshields.

The team behind the event have set up an FAQ for anyone looking to take part and you can see it on the website.
