Streets in Cologne Flooded After Thunderstorm Hits City

Several streets were flooded in Cologne after a violent thunderstorm swept through the city on July 19, clogging drains, flooding subway stations and even cancelling a music festival.

About 350 members of the Cologne Fire Brigade were deployed to deal with a variety of flooding incidents with the city, while 15 flights were delayed at Cologne Bonn Airport and a music festival in Baden-Württemberg was forced to finish, according to a report from Stern.
