Streets Flood as Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for New York City

A street flooded in Queens, New York, on Monday, July 25, as the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flash flood warning for most of New York City.

A large portion of the northeastern United States was placed under severe thunderstorm watch by the NWS on Monday. Heavy rain was forecast after the area saw its “hottest weekend of the year,” according to the NWS.
