Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Graziano Di Prima has revealed that he will not be partnered with a celebrity this series.

The dancer, who joined the professionals cast in 2018, made the announcement on his official Instagram page after this year’s celebrities met the pros for the first time.

The pairings are usually kept under wraps by the BBC until the launch episode where presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reveal the news.

However, Di Prima, who was partnered with radio host Vick Hope in 2018, shared the news early.

“Just letting all the fans know the I will not have a celeb partner this series, but don’t worry… I am not going anywhere!,” he wrote in a post.

“You will see me every Saturday/Sunday nights in all our amazing group dances, on It Takes Two and across the series.

“To my fellow pros, good luck for a magical series. Let’s do this and I love you all! Graz.”

Strictly fans were quick to react to the news with many declaring that the decision not to give him a partner was a mistake.

“I am very disappointed! You are amazing! xxxx,” wrote one.

Another commented: “WHAT bad decision whoever made it! what a waste xx.”

“Boooo your amazing! Rubbish decision @bbcstrictly x,” came the response from a third user of the picture sharing site.

“This is a BAD decision and has ruined my morning you weren’t given a chance !!! You and Vick were improving week after week !! I hope you are okay,” one fan of Di Prima’s commented.

Offering some light relief, former Strictly star and TV presenter Gethin Jones offered a solution.

“I’ll be your partner,” he posted.

The new series of Strictly is set to kick off in September.
