Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed the seventh celebrity to leave this year's competition.

In tonight's (November 11) results show, it was Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu who went head to head in the dance-off against Wynne Evans and Katya Jones.

As always, the two couples performed their routines again, with Shayne and Nancy first dancing their Rumba to Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time'. They were followed by Wynne and Katya who performed their American Smooth to 'Grace Kelly' by MIKA.

The judges were conflicted, as Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse both chose to save Shayne and Nancy. Meanwhile, Anton Du Beke voted to save Wynne and Katya, meaning Shirley Ballas was left with a difficult decision.

Shayne thanked the other contestants and audience for their support during his time on the show. "This has been, honestly, one of the best things I've ever done," he said.

"I'm proud that I made it to eight weeks as a novice dancer. A massive thank you goes to this incredible human right next to me [Nancy], who has put so much fire in me and made me believe that I can actually achieve more if I let myself go.

"I'm sorry it didn't work out to the end, but I'm super proud that I got to meet you [to Nancy] and dance with you, so thank you."

Meanwhile, Nancy told host Tess Daly that she was "beyond proud" of her partnership with Shayne.

"Shayne, from week one until this point, every second you put your feet on the dancefloor, you improved yourself. You're a deep thinker, you always doubt yourself, you never believed yourself, but I never ever questioned you.

"When I watch you, I feel proud because I've turned someone who has never ever danced in their life into an amazing dancer. You should believe in yourself. I adored this partnership."

The remaining eight couples will be back next Saturday (November 16) for a special live show at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
