Strictly's Chizzy Akudolu caught her shoe in her dress

It wouldn't be Strictly Come Dancing without something going wrong now, would it?

Holby City actress Chizzy Akudolu (who's definitely one of our favourites already) managed to get her foot caught in her dress near the beginning of her routine. Oops.

Chizzy and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev boogied their way through a fun Cha Cha to 'Boogie Fever' by The Sylvers for their first dance of the series.

But despite the mishap, she managed to recover pretty well and styled it out like a total pro, not letting it throw her off.

The judges were very complimentary about her routine too, especially seeing as she didn't let it get in the way.

"For me it was all disco and very little Cha Cha Cha," Craig Revel Horwood said, "but you have great rhythm and a great sense for the music so well done."

Darcey Bussell noted that she was a "sassy lady" and revealed that she loved watching her, while new judge Shirley Ballas also had sweet things to say, despite calling her 'Lizzie' at first. Double oops.

"You handled the shoe caught in the dress like a true professional. You didn't miss a beat, not a beat," she said.

Chizzy and Pasha ended up with a judges' score of 21, which by week one standards isn't bad, but she wasn't impressed as it wasn't a solid 40. We love your ambition there, Chizzy!

It looks like viewers thought she was pretty brilliant too, especially when it came to recovering from that near-trip.
