EastEnders star and Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Davood Ghadami isn't worried about the infamous Strictly curse, mainly because he's too tired to care about all that.

Chatting to The Sun, Davood admitted that training for the show has completely knackered him out. "My most basic needs are overlooked," he quipped.

Confessing the extent of his exhaustion, the soap actor also kindly revealed that he's given his wife a 'sex IOU', so erm, cheers for that, Davood.

"I haven't got the time or the energy. At the moment, your head is full of steps, beats and timings. Your body is aching," he said.

"I've been working quite late, getting in early. I sometimes forget to eat that's how bad it is."

Luckily, Davood knows that Strictly is worth the sacrifice – and it only being a temporary thing seems to help, too.

"You know in the back of your mind that, worst case scenario, it's to the middle of December and not forever, and you get the biggest pay-off ever to be a Strictly contestant."

Davood and pro partner Nadiya Bychkova will be exerting all of their energy for week 5's show tonight (October 21) with a jive to 'Tell Her About It'. Let's hope they can avoid the bottom two this time!
