Ruth Langsford has swapped the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom for the safety of the Loose Women panel, where she's revealed how it feels to be part of the dancing competition.

And unsurprisingly, it sounds ridiculously nerve-wracking – especially when you end up at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Chatting to her fellow loose ladies, Ruth admitted: "I can honestly say I have never been so nervous ever – not when I got married, not doing live television...

"Everything the judges said to me was absolutely right. Bruno said, 'You were clinging onto Anton', which I was because the minute I went wrong I went a bit dance-blind."

Revealing that she wishes they could've just done the dress rehearsal and sneaked off home, Ruth joked:"It would've been perfect. [In the rehearsal], I did OK and there were no judges!"

While the Strictly judging panel might be formidable in the studio, Ruth let slip that Craig Revel-Horwood was feeling quite helpful in the bar after Saturday's show.

Telling Craig that it was "embarrassing" to be at the bottom of the leaderboard, the usually cutting Craig responded: "Darling, it's the bottom everyone talks about."

Sound advice, that.

In less surprising news, SCD's first live show absolutely dominated in the overnight ratings, becoming the most-watched programme of the night.

According to the BBC, the episode clocked up an average viewing figure of 9.3 million, peaking at 10.2 million with an audience share of 46.9%.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night (September 30) on BBC One.
