Strictly Come Dancing result already 'decided' as star now a dead cert to win BBC show
We are still just six weeks into the new series, but bookies are claiming that the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2024 is already 'decided' as one star is now way ahead of their rivals in the odds.
The live shows for the latest run of the much loved BBC show only got going last month, meaning there is still plenty of dancing to be done before the Strictly Glitterball trophy can be taken home. However, having started way down the betting on this year's champion, comedian Chris McCausland has pulled way ahead of the other contestants in the last few weeks and now looks to be almost 'undefeatable.'
As well as making Strictly history as the programme's first ever blind contestant, Chris has been a total revelation in the ballroom so far, with him lot letting his lack of sight hinder him in any way, as his partnership with pro dancer Dianne Buswell goes from strength to strength. The pair got their highest score to date last weekend, when they moved viewers at home to tears with their waltz to Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone.

The emotional performance earned them a terrific score of 35 out of 40, putting them second on the week five leaderboard and ahead of early frontrunner Tasha Ghouri. And it's not just on the Strictly leaderboard that Chris is ahead of Tasha, as he has also moved clear of her in the Strictly winner odds.
At the time of writing on Friday morning, bookies BetMGM had Chris as the overwhelming favourite to win on odds of 1/3, well ahead of nearest rival Tasha, who was on 4/1, with Sarah Hadland way back in third on 10/1.
Chris' position as form favourite to win Strictly 2024 comes as it's being reported that he may have to miss the show's live arena tour, due to his own comedy gigs clashing with the tour dates.
