Strictly Come Dancing Champion Harry Judd Reckons He’s More Famous For Dancing Than For McFly

It’s been four years since McFly’s Harry Judd lifted the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy with Aliona Vilani, but it seems everyone’s still keen to hear about his win.

In fact, the drummer reckons he’s now more famous for his dancing skills than for being part of McFly (and McBusted, of course).

Speaking to the Daily Star, Harry admitted: “I’ve been in McFly for 12 years and we have had seven No1 singles and two No1 albums.

“But when I’m in the supermarket people just want to know about Strictly.”

He described his original Strictly experience as ‘one of the most amazing things’ he’s done, adding: “I’ve been sad not to have had it for four years.”

In fact, the Daily Star reports that he often watches old clips of himself dancing on the internet because he misses the show so much.

N’aww.

The 2011 champ will be returning to the ballroom for Strictly’s Christmas Special, and will be dancing the American Smooth with Joanne Clifton.

Abbey Clancy, Alison Hammond, Tom Chambers, Lisa Snowdon and ‘People’s Strictly’ winner Cassidy Little are all also competing.

Meanwhile, Harry’s original partner Aliona has announced that this series of Strictly, which she won with The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness was actually her last.

She tweeted: “Going into this Strictly Come Dancing Series13, I decided that no matter what would happen, it will be my last one.”

She also wrote: “After 7 years on Strictly Come Dancing, as my finale, this has been my best Strictly experience ever by a long way!”

We’ll miss you, Aliona!
