'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Craig Revel Horwood scores MP Michael Gove's rave dancing skills

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has instructed Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove to not give up the day job after rating his raving dance skills.

The Cha-Cha-Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster was filmed over the weekend busting moves in O’Neill’s in Aberdeen, Scotland, joining in at the Pipe club night.

But while his free-flowing routine made him an internet sensation, it seems that Revel Horwood didn’t think it was enough for Gove to be in the running for the coveted Strictly glitterball.

Appearing on Monday’s episode of The Jeremy Vine Show, Revel Horwood said: “I think it is absolutely hilarious and I have got to say this, that I have to embrace people going out and enjoying themselves and dancing, no matter in what form.

“However, there is a technical issue here, darling, as well. As a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, I can only comment technically on it.

“I don’t care how people dance, in that respect. But if you are going out to a nightclub at some ungodly hour in the morning, 1.30 in the morning … and you get filmed doing this sort of dancing, then it is your own fault, quite frankly.

“I would say he should be a little bit more technical if you are going to be in public doing it. At least rehearse it at home, I would say.”

When encouraged to score him as if he was on the show, Revel Horwood a measly three out of 10, but added: “I know he was out enjoying himself and for that I would give him a 10 to encourage anybody to go out there.”

Gove partied the night away across the August bank holiday weekend after travelling to see family in the area.

After being spotted at the bar, a group encouraged him to join them at the rave, where a bouncer claims he tried to get out of the £5 entry fee by using his status.

He stayed at the venue partying until 2am, when he eventually went home.

A representative for Gove denies him trying to get out of the entry fee.
