BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans have issued the same complaint about one couple but it wasn't actually their fault.

JB Gill and Lauren Oakley's were among the seven couples left in the dancing competition as week 10 of the show got underway and the final nears.

JLS star JB and his professional dance partner were seen picking up a near-perfect score of 39 out of 40 for their lively Charleston to Yes Sir! That’s My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two, MEN reports.

The JLS pop star flipped Oakley upside down and in a cartwheel spin as well as showing off his quick footwork.

Judge Craig Revel Horwood praised the routine as "pure class", while Motsi Mabuse said JB has loosened up and now has the "right swag". Head judge Shirley Ballas thanked Gill for bringing "so much joy" to the dancefloor as she described his performance as "amazing".

JB has been dancing with Lauren since week seven following the exit of his previous partner, Amy Dowden, who was forced to pull out due to an injury earlier this month.

The Welsh dancer was cheering the pair on from the audience as they received their second near-perfect score in a row.

The fact they didn't get a perfect 40 left a sour taste in the mouth of some Strictly fans watching the action unfold at home.

One said said: "Still no 40 lordy! That Charleston deserved 40 JB did well." A second commented: "I'm really losing my patience with Craig, JB just gave a terrific routine worthy of a maximum 40!."

A third posted asked: "Nobody could point a single flaw or criticism out for JB. HOW IS THAT NOT A 40 ?!." Another Strictly fan interjected: "I am shocked that Craig didn’t give a 10 there, there was not a single negative said about JB and that to me should be a perfect score."

And a fifth replied added: "Catching up with Strictly as I missed JB’s performance and how wasn’t that a 40?! Damn you Craig! He was brilliant!."
