Strictly Come Dancing fans were left outraged as Seann Walsh and Katya Jones were saved during a tense dance-off.

The comedian found himself in the bottom two against Vick Hope and Graziano Di Prima but was backed to stay in the competition by the judges, minus Craig Revel Horwood.

Darcey Bussell told Walsh that he had the “cleaner” performance in the dance-off while guest judge Alfonso Ribeiro told them that they “eliminated more of their mistakes” when they danced again.

But fans were left unhappy by the decision, wanting Walsh out of the competition after recent scandal.

Walsh and Jones were pictured kissing after a night out earlier this month, later apologising for their “drunken” actions.

Walsh was dumped by girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries shortly after the pictures emerged with the actress claiming she had been branded “psycho” by Walsh for suggesting something inappropriate was going on.

One user on Twitter wrote: "Absolute fix BBC Strictly. How can they possibly keep that ratty little b****** Seann Walsh in? Huge Strictly fan, but there is no way that was the right call."

Another agreed the wrong couple left.

Jones insisted her marriage to fellow Strictly professional Neil Jones is “absolutely fine” after the scandal.

Meanwhile, Capital Breakfast DJ Hope bowed out of the competition after winding up at the bottom of the leaderboard with her Cha Cha Cha.

Speaking about her exit to Tess Daly, Hope said: “I’ve loved it. I’ve had the time of my life so I want to thank everyone for being the best possible people I could spend all this time with.

“What in incredible team; the hair, the make-up, the clothes. Thank you for all of your guidance and the judging I appreciate it and of course, thank you Graz, you’ve been so patient with me and helped me so much, I’ve loved every last second of it so thank you.”

Graziano Di Prima, who was the only one of the three new professional’s to compete this year, also gushed over the 29-year-old, telling her that he “made her proud day by day”.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday October 27 at 6.50pm on BBC One, with a Halloween special.
