It wasn't just the performances that caught the eye of Strictly Come Dancing fans tonight, as viewers made the same observation.

The glitz and glam of the BBC dance competition is among the favourite features of the show for many fans who enjoy seeing the beautiful ball gowns and sequined suits. But it was the outfit worn by co-presenter Claudia Winkleman that gained the attention of viewers tonight, who were left thinking the same thing throughout the show.

"Obi Wan Winkleman", one person commented online among a sea of comments comparing Claudia's outfit to a costume from the Star Wars films. "Claudia seems to think she’s in a Star Wars movie", another person added. "Anyone got a lightsaber for Claudia?" a third person wrote.

Claudia presented the first show of the series in a full-length cream dress with bat-wing sleeves and a silver buckle attached to the front.

However, while everyone seemed to agree that Claudia's outfit could be compared to Star Wars attire, it appeared viewers couldn't decide which character the outfit most resembled.

One person said: "Claudia looks like a Jawa from Star Wars in that get up." Another wrote: "Why is Claudia dressed like a Jedi Master?" A third commented: Why is Claudia dressed as Princess Leia?" Another said: "Loving Claudia’s Princess Leia look."
