Strictly Come Dancing final 2018: Winner odds and the dances Joe Sugg, Ashley Roberts, Stacey Dooley and Faye Tozer will perform

So this is it. After three months of glitz, glamour and sparkle, the Strictly Come Dancing 2018 final is here.

On Saturday night, the BBC ballroom will see four celebrities battle it out with three dances each: the judges’ pick, the showdance and the couples’ favourite.

Joe Sugg, Ashley Roberts, Faye Tozer and Stacey Dooley have made it through 12 weeks, dazzling us with their impressive moves.

With a matter of hours until we find out who will lift the coveted glitterball trophy, here’s everything you need to know:

Who’s in the final?

As has been tradition in the last few years, apart from in 2016 when Will Young pulled out, four celebrities will fight it out in the final.

YouTube star Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, journalist Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev and Steps star Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice will all compete.

This year will be Clifton’s fifth final – having made it there, and lost out with, Susanna Reid, Frankie Bridge, Kellie Bright and Louise Redknapp – while Kovalev will be hoping to become the first male professional to win the show twice, having won with Caroline Flack in 2014.

Pernice also made the final last year with Debbie McGee.

What are they dancing?

Roberts and Kovalev will perform their week three Salsa to (I’ve Had The) Time Of My Life and a showdance to Keeping Your Head Up by Birdy.

Sugg and Buswell will take on their week seven Pompeii Paso Doble and a showdance to I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.

Dooley and Clifton will tackle their week four Foxtrot to Hi Ho Silver Lining and a showdance to Land of a Thousand Dances.

Tozer and Pernice will revisit their Viennese Waltz to It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World from week two with a showdance to Lullaby of Broadway.

The Couples’ choice dances – their favourites of the series – will be revealed on the night.

Who else is performing on the show?

The class of 2018 will return to the floor for a group dance and Michael Buble will perform as the star musical guest.

Who’s going to win?

BBC Three star Dooley is currently the bookies favourite, with Betfair placing her at 2/5. Hot on her heels is vlogger Sugg at 2/1.

Tozer is 8/1 to lift the crown while Roberts, who has been in three consecutive dance-offs, is way out on 33/1.

Will we actually find out who comes second, third and fourth?

Nope. And this comes up every year.

Back in the days of two celebrity finalists, knowing runner-up was easy. With three, fans have to settle for joint runner-ups and, because one couple used to be kicked off after two dances at the beginning of the second show on final night, fourth place was confirmed.

Last year, the final ran straight thought and so it was three runners-up, and fans were left to decide their own finishing order. Which is what will happen this year.

The BBC claims that “releasing voting figures could affect the way that people vote, and also have an impact on the participants”.

Fans who have previously tried to obtain figures by submitting Freedom of Information requests have received replies stating: “The information you have requested is excluded from the Act because it is held for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature’”.

When can I watch it?

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final airs Saturday, December 15 at 6.30pm on BBC One.
