Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara was left feeling emotional as she enjoyed a fresh 'first' with her daughter after sharing another family update.

The It Takes Two star welcomed her first child with husband Aljaž Škorjanec in July last year. Since then, Janette has been keeping her followers updated on her new life as a first-time mum. The couple recently celebrated her first birthday and Janette shared the special moment with her fans.

The star took to Instagram and revealed that they jetted off to Walt Disney World in Florida and Lyra got to also meet Janette’s family for the first time. She shared a number of snaps from their time at the theme park.

In one post, Janette and Lyra can be seen with huge smiles on their faces as her daughter met her family members. Alongside the photos, she wrote: “Lyra meeting her cousins Joshua, Ryan, and Kylie for the first time! Lyra is only 4 weeks younger than Joshua. So cute to see them playing together. But she really likes Ryan!”

She later shared more photos and said: "I have been going to @disneyparks since I was only a year old w/ my parents, and have been every year since. Being able to share Lyra’s first visit w/ them and my brother and sister was so emotional… We really are a #DisneyFamily.

“Although she will not remember anything from this visit, as her mother I certainly enjoyed indulging myself in watching the joy in her eyes. I’m hoping @aljazskorjanec and I are able to pass down my family’s tradition of going to the parks. Being there w/ her felt truly magical. Until next time!”

To mark the end if Lyra’s celebration, the choreographer posted more pictures of Lyra with her family in front of her butterfly-themed birthday cake. She wrote: "We won’t be together for her actual birthday, but I wanted my family to feel a part of her special day.

"How incredible that we were able to celebrate w/ her grandparents, great grandmothers, aunts & uncles, and all her cousins! Feeling grateful for having Lyra grow up so loved."
