Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood blames Katya Jones for Seann Walsh kiss scandal: 'It's like a teacher kissing a pupil'

Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has said that he blames Katya Jones for the kissing scandal surrounding her and Seann Walsh.

The feisty judge has not held back in his criticism of the pair, who were pictured kissing after a night out earlier this month, saying that they were doing the “dance of shame” when they returned to the competition last weekend.

Chatting on Wednesday’s Loose Women, Revel Horwood aired more of his thoughts on the scandal, likening it to a “teacher snogging a pupil”.

He said: “I think I would put the ball in Katya’s court, she should not have allowed it to happen.

One, she’s married. Two, he was in a relationship that is no longer. If I’m talking from a personal view – this is not the view of the BBC – it’s a teacher snogging a student.”

Revel Horwood added that he was “glad” they didn’t quit the show, despite fans calling for them to leave, and took to the floor on Saturday with their Charleston.

He said: “I thought they were brave to come back on the show and do their dance of shame. If you’d snogged somebody at the Christmas Party, like your boss, and you still want the job….you’ve got to turn up on Monday.

“I think you’ve got to face the music and dance. They did and I’m glad they did because they’re there to be professional, let’s not forget they are being paid to do a job.”

Walsh was dumped by his girlfriend of five years Rebecca Humphries after evidence of their drunken antics emerged.

The actress confirmed she had split from her cheating partner in a bold Twitter statement, also claiming that she had been branded a “psycho” for previously suggesting that something was going on between the two.

Jones, who is married to fellow Strictly professional Neil, also apologised for what happened and assured fans that her relationship is “absolutely fine”.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV. Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday October 20 at 6.45pm on BBC One.
