BBC Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Katya Jones has been spotted today in Liverpool, ahead of the live tour taking place at the M&S Bank arena tonight. Earlier today, Wynne issued a statement to confirm he has pulled out of the show's live tour.

He has come under fire after The Mail On Sunday reported Mr Evans was heard making a remark to a woman in a video filmed during the tour launch event on January 16. The PA news agency understands he was given a warning over the remark by tour producers.

The 53-year-old has taken to Instagram today to confirm he has now stepped away from the tour as he issued an apology. He said: "I've agreed with the BBC that I'll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing."

I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. Apologies to those I won't get to see at the remaining performances and I'm grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me."

Mr Evans was scheduled to take to the stage at the waterfront arena tonight and tomorrow. He was spotted in the city alongside his partner, Katya.

She captioned the post: "Birthday walk around Liverpool @mr_njonesofficial." Mr Evans has also confirmed he will stepping away from his BBC Radio Wales show. Robin Morgan is set to be his replacement during his absence, PA understands.

Mr Evans had been touring the country as part of the Strictly Live tour. However, he missed dancing on the tour in Glasgow on Saturday due to an ankle injury. However, he previously shared his intention to return to the stage in Merseyside tonight.

In a video posted on Saturday evening, he said: "Ankle’s getting a bit better, it was great to be able to sing in Glasgow tonight, even if I couldn’t dance, hopefully back tomorrow.

"But watch this space, I’ll let you know in the morning. See how the swelling goes down, and all that kind of stuff, thanks for all the lovely messages, amazing."

The tour arrives in at the M&S Bank Arena tonight for two shows, today (January 28) and tomorrow (January 29). The celebrities taking part include actor Jamie Borthwick, model and TV personality Tasha Ghouri, Gladiator and Olympian Montell Douglas, actress Sarah Hadland and singer Shayne Ward.

For the first time, judge Motsi Mabuse will join Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood across all UK tour dates. The tour is hosted by Janette Manrara.
