There's been some serious drama in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom this weekend, with the judges totally split on who should have gone home out of Shayne Ward and Wynne Evans, as Shirley Ballas was forced to decide for the first time this series. And in the end it was Shayne who became the latest star to be axed from the new series.

Having been in the dance-off twice before, former X Factor winner and Coronation Street actor Shayne was the big favourite to be eliminated and, after his getting his best score to date last weekend, his marks from the Strictly judges took a tip on Saturday night, with hi, left joint bottom alongside Jamie Borthwick, after both celebs got a total of 30 out of 40.

That left Shayne in a precarious position on the leaderboard, with Wynne only two points ahead of him and, after the public vote, it was those two who had to dance-off in a battle to stay in the competition. Making his bid to make it through to Blackpool, Shayne reprised his rumba to Time After Time, while Wynne hoped a second go at his American Smooth to Mika's Grace Kelly would sway things his way.

Things were looking good for Shayne, as Craig and Motsi opened the voting with two in his favour. However, things then took a turn when Anton voted for Wynne, forcing Shirley to have the final say, as she then agreed with Anton and sealed Shayne's exit.

After telling host Tess Daly he was "absolutely gutted" to be in the dance-off again, Shayne looked downbeat at being voted out, as pro partner Nancy told him he 'needs to believe in himself' after saying she was "so proud" of their partnership.
