Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced that another shock result is on the cards this week and they are laying the blame firmly at the feet of the judges and their 'inconsistent' scoring./

Following the exit of outsider to win, Paul Merson last week, all of the remaining couples left in the new series of the BBC show prepared for Saturday night's Halloween Week spooktacular. Strictly always pulls out all the stops when it comes to Halloween and this year was no different, with all four judges certainly looking the part - with Shirley Ballas dressed as Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus, Motsi Mabuse as Cruella DeVil and Craig Revel-Horwood and Anton Du Beke as the twins from The Shining; as the contestants too got into the theme with an array of interesting outfits.

Halloween Week certainly lived up to the hype when it came to the performances too, with EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick once again finding himself tied at the top of the leaerboard, this time with Sarah Hadland, as their American Smooth and Argentine Tango respectively each got an impressive 38 out of 40.

At the other end of the standings, bookies favourite Chris McCausland was left in trouble, as he finished joint bottom with Punam Krishan on 26. But the thing that most viewers at home took exception to was the fact that the judges gave the same score to four different couples, as fans argued that Shayne Ward certainly deserved higher for his paso doble, yet still ended up tied with Wynne Evans, Pete Wicks and Sam Quek.

The four way tie made it easier for someone in the middle of the pack to end up in this week's bottom two and, hitting out at the judges, one fan took to X to blast: "Absolutely awful and inconsistent marking , what are the judges seeing?" as a second reacted: "I'm not one to turn the judges' scores into a conspiracy but on nights like this it really does feel like they're forcing the ties"
