Strictly Come Dancing Stacey Dooley taken aback as she returns to Merseyside home after break
Stacey Dooley was amazed at what she saw the moment she walked through her Merseyside home after a sunny break away. The documentary filmmaker made the move to Merseyside last year with her partner, Kevin Clifton, and daughter, Minnie.
Stacey and Kevin found love when they were paired together on the sixteenth season of Strictly Come Dancing. Their romance continued to blossom after they lifted the Glitterball and they are now building a happy family life in Merseyside.
Kevin exclusively revealed details of their move during a chat with the Liverpool ECHO this year. Stacey's mum is originally from Liverpool and Kevin explained they were deliberating whether to move up north so Minnie could be closer to her nan.
They officially relocated in 2023 as Stacey fell in love with a home in the region. He told the ECHO: "Stacey loves looking at houses on the internet. Looking at interiors and stuff is her favourite thing to do."

He added: "She just happened to have seen something she liked and thought 'oh it's not too far away from my mum'. We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like 'I love it and I can really see us living here'. It all happened really quickly and we love it." He added: "Our little girl is going to be raised as a Scouser."
Stacey is refurbishing her Merseyside home and regularly shares updates of the renovation process with her 1.2m followers. Stacey enjoyed a break away from the UK this week as she shared snaps from her family trip to Seville.
The BBC presenter was amazed when she returned home from the trip to find another step of the refurbishment had been made. She said: "Me, to my painter upon arrival at home.
"I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTT (so much I couldn’t wait for a fancy reveal when it’s all finished) ‘BIG HOOPS’ ON THE CEILING BABY (from my collection w/ @coatpaints) …obvs have a working relationship with this gorge collection but zero obligation to post. (Just v v into it)"
Fans were wowed by the renovation as the Stacey's forever home in Merseyside continues to take shape. Sarah said: "Looks amazing."
Gill added: "Oh wow." Kate posted: "Well, that's just gorgeous." Kevin and Stacey are happily settled on Merseyside as they are delighted with their decision to uproot to the North West.
However, Kevin joked his worst fears could be about to come true in his interview with the ECHO as he explained how he doesn't want Minnie to follow in his footsteps and pursue dancing as a career.
He said: "It's funny because I was like I don't want her to be a ballroom dancer and go through everything like I did. People asked 'would you rather her be a ballroom dancer or a Liverpool fan' and I was like for God's sake."
Kevin is a big Scunthorpe United fan but said Stacey's influence as Reds' supporter may win out on their daughter as he laughed: "My instinct is she's not going to be a Scunny fan but I'm going to try my best. She's already got the Liverpool kit and I've got a feeling that's going to happen.
"But her great grandad is an Everton fan so it's a big fight in the family of who's going to claim Minnie's football team."
