Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri 'set to earn six-figures' from BBC show

As she prepares for her debut on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, contestant Tasha Ghouri could be set to earn a "six figures" sum due to her involvement in the BBC programme. The ex-Love Island star has been paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec, who is making a return to the show after a hiatus.

Speaking on behalf of Betfred, Celebrity PR Specialist Kayley Cornelius has shed light on why the reality TV star might reap more benefits than any other participant this year.

She said: "Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing is always a big PR move for any celebrity, but one contestant this year might benefit more than the others. Tasha Ghouri could be in line to make a small fortune thanks to her time on the show.

"Since announcing her participation, Tasha's Instagram engagement has skyrocketed, nearly doubling her average interactions compared to before the announcement.

"Tasha is incredibly marketable, with the ability to connect with a wide range of audiences. Her content, which focuses on lifestyle, beauty, and fashion, makes her especially appealing to brands in those sectors, which are some of the biggest spenders in online advertising.

"With her large following and high engagement rate, brands will likely be willing to pay premium prices. Tasha could earn a five-figure sum per sponsored post, and for long-term collaborations, she might make six figures. She could even become the face of a brand, which could push her earnings to six or even seven figures."

The expert continued: "It's not just her Instagram that's seeing a boost-her TikTok account is also benefiting. TikTok offers a simple way for Tasha to make thousands while competing in Strictly. The platform's Creator Fund pays qualifying creators based on their video engagement, using a CPM (Cost-Per-Mille) model."

Kayley went on to claim that as well as Tasha's online presence soaring, her media opportunities will also expand once the show is over. "Once her time on the show is over, Tasha will be flooded with media offers from daytime TV and radio appearances to podcasts and online shows," she expressed.

"Her strong social media presence opens up opportunities in both traditional media, and new media which is a space that's increasingly shaping the future of PR and branding.

"Payment for these appearances can vary greatly depending on the station or platform. Some celebrities appear for free, recognising the value of the publicity.

"However, for those scouted by broadcasters, fees can range from £1,000 to tens of thousands, depending on the segment and the length of their appearance.

"While these amounts might seem small at first, they add up quickly and could lead to even bigger opportunities for Tasha on other leading reality TV shows-along with even bigger cheques," she concluded.

The first live show kicked off on Saturday evening, with audiences finally finding out which celebrities are paired with which professionals.

As well as Aljaz returning to the show, his co-star and fellow professional Amy Dowden returned after having to sit out last series while she fought breast cancer.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
