Strictly Come Dancing's Aliona Kavanagh is pregnant

Aliona Kavanagh is pregnant.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer took to Twitter to reveal she and husband Vincent Kavanagh are expecting their first child together.

She wrote: “Just want to share our amazing news! Vin & I are pregnant and we are sooo excited to have our little miracle!!! (sic)”

The 32-year-old star – previously known as Aliona Vilani – shared a picture in her tweet showing Vincent giving her baby bump a kiss surrounded by woodland.

The professional dancer quit Strictly in December to start a family but admitted shortly afterwards she was in tears and “missing” the programme.

She said at the time: “I’m missing it already. When I decided to leave after the final I cried my eyes out. It was very upsetting for me. It was a really hard decision.”

But in July it was reported Aliona was set to make a shock return to the show as a behind-the-scenes choreographer.

A source said: “She is bored and really keen to get back on the show in some capacity.

“She is currently talking to show bosses about having a choreography role, and she is their number one dancer to turn to if someone has an injury. She’s over the moon and realised she was a bit hasty in her decision to quit.”

Aliona and Vincent moved to the US after she quit.
