Strictly Come Dancing came to a halt after a surprising "disaster" aired. Host Claudia Winkelman was left speechless on Sunday night's BBC show as she watched an awkward clip of herself make the final cut.

Claudia sat with the judges to discuss the previous night's performances. Craig Revel Harwood spoke candidly about his judgements and defended his decision to issue media personality Pete Wicks four points.

Craig went on to admit there was another performance that he labelled "a mess" that also deserved a low score. Claudia lifted her cue cards to her face with embarrassment before Craig could even finish his sentence.

Craig said: "I'm talking about your dance. Just take a little closer look at your dance. I'd score that a four as well." A video tape from last night showed Claudia along with fellow host Tess Daly and the judges dancing to the Spice Girls in the Blackpool ballroom.

However, Claudia was out of rhythm and nearly stepped on the others. As the tape played, the judges laughed while Claudia grimaced. Claudia spoke over the audience applause to say: "Can I just say. I was wearing a whole carpet and... anyway."

"Can I just tell you what's happening next week, on the topic of disasters. Next week we have the Sambathon."

The host quickly moved on with the remainder of the programme while hosts Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse continued to giggle by her side.
