Dianne Buswell has become a fan favourite on Strictly Come Dancing, with the professional dancer having joined the show back in 2017. She is competing on this year's show with comedian Chris McCausland and the duo have proven be a huge hit with TV viewers, with many vouching for Dianne and Chris to take home the Glitterball trophy.

Dianne, 35, is yet to win Strictly, but has made it to the final on two occasions - once with YouTuber Joe Sugg and again with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier. She and Chris - who is blind due to retinitis pigmentosa - have continued to impress the judges on the BBC show with their performances and have missed out on being in the dance off so far.

Dianne joined the cast of Strictly in 2017 and moved from Australia to the UK to take up the opportunity. She was previously a dancer on Australia's Dancing With The Stars and also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Since being in the UK, she's also appeared on Children In Need, CelebAbility and Pointless Celebrities. Dianne was also a contestant on BBC's Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof as well as Celebrity Masterchef.

Strictly has certainly changed Dianne's life, from moving to the UK to finding love. The 35 year old is in a relationship with YouTube star Joe Sugg, who she danced with on Strictly in 2018. Joe, 33, and Dianne fell for one another on the dance floor and after the series wrapped, revealed they are in a relationship.

The couple's romance is still going strong years later and they now reside in a stunning £3.5 million, five-bed property just outside Brighton, where Joe - who is the younger brother of social media sensation Zoe Sugg, AKA Zoella - grew up. The pair even hope to start a family one day, with Dianne being open about wanting children with her beau.

Speaking to Women’s Health, she said: "Joe is the most supportive person. I’d love to have a family one day, and I know Joe would love a family too. That would be our dream one day."

As well as her romance, Dianne has also been open about her health struggles. Last year, she opened up about her battle with bulimia in her younger years and how she became obsessed with achieving the perfect figure and weight.

Dianne told how she wound up in hospital after skipping meals and excessive exercise led to her developing anaemia, caused by a lack of iron in the body. At one point the now healthy star's periods had stopped and she found it a struggle to climb the stairs. But it was her ending up in hospital that Dianne said led to a “turning point” in her life and it's one she “never wants to return to, ever".

Opening up on ITV's Lorraine about her health, Dianne said: “I worked on a cruise ship for quite a while. It’s tricky, because as a dancer you get weighed. We got weighed every week and had a thing called a WW, which was a weight warning. I had two of them in my time and I weighed two more kilos that I do now.”

She added: "I went through one point where I just wouldn’t eat, so I just had a drink for lunch and a drink for dinner. I got really sick and if I did have some food, I would make myself sick because I wouldn’t want it in me. I adore dancing, but I guess as I became more successful, the pressures also grew. That can really spiral you into this awful self-doubt and the pressure of that makes you do crazy things.”
