Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice issues new statement on if he has 'left the UK'
Strictly Come Dancing ex-pro Giovanni Pernice has issued a statement on rumours among fans that he has ‘left the uk’. Posting a new video on Instagram from Rome the 34-year-old said he was planning on returning soon.
He left the BBC show which is now back on with a new series under a cloud after allegations made by former participant Amanda Abbington, with the results yet to be made public. Pernice rejects the allegations.
Fellow dancer Graziano Di Prima has also left the show. In the video, addressing fans asking if he has left for good he said: “I received a lot of messages as well, saying, Giovanni, why do you leave the UK?
“I haven’t left the UK at all. In actual fact, I’m back on Sunday for the dance class and obviously dance class October, November December as well and then back on tour in January until July. But for now, very excited. For Ballando, the dance is going very, very well. So it’s a bit windy, but it’s hot. It’s hot, it’s hot, it’s hot. Send you lots of love. I love you all.”
“I’ve read I did read all your messages at the weekend, and, um, I’m very grateful to all of you here is going very well.” Pernice, who has left Strictly and since joined the Italian version of the series and been partnered with actress and singer Bianca Guaccero, has denied all accusations..
