Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Johannes Radebe has broken his silence amid speculation he will be leaving the popular BBC dance show. He has been a favourite among fans since joining the show in 2018.

Rumours of his departure have been circulating online suggesting he will be ditching the dancefloor for a stage role in Kinky Boots. Shutting the rumours down, Johannes shared a video with his social media following yesterday evening, November 8.

He said: "I'm not going nowhere! The story isn't true - I love @bbcstrictly and I want to do this beautiful show for as long as they want me - and the body will allow. I have Kinky Boots and other work in the pipeline yes but nothing will take me away. Love you all Jojo Xx"

Alongside the caption, Johannes shared a clip from rehearsals with his Olympian dance partner Montell Douglas. In the clip he stated "I'm not going nowhere".

Co-stars and fans rushed to the comments after the rumours had been addressed. Lauren Oakley, Tasha Ghouri, Jowitz Przystal and Giovanni Fletcher all responded with red love heart emojis.

Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse left fire emojis, saying "Chomi you know" and her sister, former Strictly professional Oti Mabuse left laughing emojis before saying "love you Chomi".

Fans were relieved to hear the rumours were untrue. One fan stated: "Oh this makes my heart leap that you’re staying" another added "Love you so much JoJo. This is the best news! See you next year in Belfast."

In last weekend's 'Icons Week' Johanne partner Johannes scored 35 out of a possible 40 for their waltz to I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. The pair had to fight for their place in the competition when they landed in the bottom-two alongside scouse Olympian Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin.

Montell and Johannes were saved by the judges and will dance a Paso Doble to The Shapeshifters’ ‘Lola’s Theme’ on Saturday night, November 9. The performance will have to be special to earn a place in Blackpool next weekend.
