Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones 'convinced' of Wynne Evans exit after BBC results drama
Katya Jones has broken her silence on the Strictly come Dancing results drama surrounding her and Wynne Evans, hinting she was 'convinced' they'd be eliminated at the weekend, before a last ditch decision saved them.
Having been labelled as the 'dark horse' to win Strictly by some experts, after some impressive performances in the first few weeks of the BBC show's new series, Katya and Wynne got everyone talking for the wrong reasons, when their behaviour on screen during one of the Saturday live shows caused concern.
After riding the wave of that controversy, with Katya publicly speaking out in support of Wynne, the couple continued to defy bookies odds by staying out of the bottom two; however, that all changed at the weekend when they were condemned to the dance-off for the first time and had to battle to stay in the competition against Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.

As always with the Strictly result, the outcome hinged on the judges' votes and, while at first it looked to be swinging the way of Shayne and Nancy, votes from Anton Du Beke and then head judge Shirley Ballas, turned things in Wynne and Katya's favour right at the death.
And Katya is happy to admit that she thought they were goners. Taking to Instagram to reflect on the weekend's opinion dividing events, she wrote: "Oh boy was it a dramatic dance off against the phenomenal Shane and Nancy. We had no idea which way it was going to go , but we survived it !! And yes , it is the hard way , but we ARE going to Blackpool!
"The whole Strictly fun flashed before our eyes in that moment, but I will not let Wynne lose his spark!!! Because that’s what makes him unique and that what we all love about him!"
