Ola Jordan has warned Strictly Come Dancing star Shayne Ward is “on borrowed time” after finding himself in the dreaded dance-off for the second time last week.

The singer, 40, and his pro partner Nancy Xu are set to dance a Quickstep to Help! by The Beatles for Strictly’s Icon Week.

Jordan - who served as a pro on the BBC dance competition from 2006 until 2015, winning in 2009 with news presenter Chris Hollins - has urged the That’s My Goal hit-maker that he needs to really “pull it out of the bag” if he doesn’t want to go out.

Speaking to The Standard on behalf of Mecca Bingo, the Polish-native explained: “I do think Shayne is on borrowed time. If he doesn't pull it out of the bag with an amazing dance, he’s going to be hanging on in the bottom two all the time.

“Shayne's dance [last week] wasn't great for me. He was standing doing nothing, that was the first thing I thought about when I was watching, the first few seconds of the dance he was just standing there, and I was counting how long he's been standing there. It’s a shame because I think he can do better than that.”

“He's got to really concentrate on his steps and the technique if he doesn't want to be in the bottom two again.”

Sadly, it would appear that the bookmakers agree with Jordan.

Ladbrookes currently has Ward at just 6/4 in the betting to be sent packing this weekend.

Elsewhere, opera singer Wynne Evans is second-favourite at 7/2 to be eliminated on Sunday as he continues to battle the fall out from “hand-gate”.

He and pro Katya Jones will perform a Rumba to This is My Life by Dame Shirley Bassey.

Sam Quek (4/1) and JB Gill (5/1) are also potentially at risk, with every other name being 10/1 or bigger.

Ladbrookes spokesperson Alex Apati said: "We're making No Promises, but it looks like Sunday night could be the end of the road for Shayne on Strictly."
