Strictly Come Dancing's Vito and Sarah share 'love you' message in joint announcement

Strictly Come Dancing partners Vito Coppola and Sarah Hadland have delivered some impressive performances on the dance floor over the past couple of weeks. They finished joint top of the leaderboard on Sunday night's result show.

The annual special show was held in Blackpool's Tower Ballroom. Vito and actress Sarah performed a Fosse-inspired routine to Padam Padam by Kylie Minogue, a dance that earned them a high score of 39 out of a possible 40.

They sailed through to the next round of the BBC dance show, which will be week 10. Yesterday, Vito and Sarah took to social media to share their joy with fans. In a video posted to both accounts, Vito said: "We are so so happy and so excited and so grateful honestly. Like there are no words that can describe how grateful and thankful we are."

Sarah added: "We had such an amazing time at Blackpool and then knowing that you guys have voted for us and got us through to this week, it just means everything to us. Thank you so much."

The lengthy caption showed the gratitude of the Strictly stars. They stated: "THANK YOU SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE. Honestly we cannot describe in words how grateful we are and how much we appreciate your support and all your love."

They continued: "Super grateful and super thankful for every single one of you that is believing in us and we hope to make all of you proud" before adding "We will keep working hard and harder, because this is the only way we have to show you all our appreciation and our gratitude towards you."

Fans took to the comments with supportive messages. One reply said: "Vito and Sarah, your performance on Saturday was my favourite ever Strictly performance I can’t stop watching it. I love you both."

Another added: "Vito, you two were absolutely fabulous! Great performance in Blackpool. You two deserve all the best. Have a nice week, can’t wait to know what you have in store for us."

Opera singer, Wynne Evans and professional partner Katya Jones, 35, became the eighth pair to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday. They found themselves in a dance off with Olympian Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe.

Week Ten will see contestants Sarah Hadland and Vito Rumba to Chains by Tina Arena. They will compete against the remaining seven couples on Saturday, November 23.
