Strictly's Come Dancing's Wynne Evans hit by 'fix' accusations as star set for BBC exit
Wynne Evans has brushed off his Strictly Come Dancing critics, with a 'defiant' three word statement on Instagram, as some viewers say the competition is being 'fixed' to keep him and bookies make him the clear favourite to be the next star to go.
Welsh singer Wynne, best known for being the voice of the Go Compare adverts, managed to defy critics by avoiding the bottom two for the first seven weeks of the BBC show's new series, even after experts backed the public to turn against him over 'weird' on camera moments between him and Strictly pro partner Katya Jones.
However, Wynne's lucky streak finally came to an end last weekend, when, after finishing just two points off the bottom of the leaderboard, he and Katya ended up in the dance-off for the first time, having to battle to stay in alongside Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu and eventually making it through to Blackpool, after Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas both gave them their backing.

After the drama of the results show, Wynne and Katya are now preparing to hit the dancefloor at the famous Tower Ballroom on Saturday night, although some critics have already accused the BBC of 'trying to keep them in' by giving them a Charleston, a genre which traditionally scores well with the judges.
As a number of viewers got on his case, others jumped to Wynne's defence, including one who responded: "Why are people being mean about Wynne? Comments the judges make are not his fault. He doing well, giving it his all and enjoying it."
And it seems like the man himself has either avoided looking at the negative comments or isn't phased by them, as he took to his Instagram story in jubilant mood on Wednesday evening, to wrote: "We're in town!" as he shared a photo of Blackpool Tower.
In the latest Strictly odds with Gambling.com, Wynne and Katya are the overwhelming frontrunners to be eliminated this weekend, on odds of 4/6.
