Strictly Come Dancing has announced the fourth celebrity who will show off their moves for the Christmas special.

Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey AKA Nitro is the latest famous face to take to the dancefloor for the festive episode airing on BBC One on Christmas Day.

He's in excellent hands as he'll be partnered with Strictly pro dancer Nancy Xu, who won the festive special with EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick in 2023.

"Strictly... are you ready?! Nitro's blasting onto the Ballroom floor this Christmas!" the sprinter said in a statement.

"I'm swapping my trainers for dancing shoes, and trust me, I'm bringing the power, the energy and the moves!" he added.

"This December I'm gonna light up that dancefloor and crank the Christmas spirit all the way up. Let's do this!"

The annual episode will see six couples performing dance routines for judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas, while the studio audience will be called on to pick their champion.

Aikines-Aryeetey, who recently proved his cooking skills on Celebrity MasterChef, is in great company for the Strictly special.

The other three celebrities announced so far are presenter Vogue Williams with pro Carlos Gu, Taskmaster's Josh Widdicombe with Karen Hauer, and Drag Race UK's Tayce with Kai Widdrington.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer. The Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.
