Strictly fans think AJ "faked" applause for Danny
The fallout from Danny John-Jules' messy final week on Strictly Come Dancing isn't over yet, as viewers have taken to Twitter to suggest that professional dancer AJ faked his claps for the contestant on Saturday night's show.
After Danny performed his samba with his partner Amy Dowden on Saturday (November 10), his fellow contestants could be seen cheering him on, but viewers pointed out that AJ was slightly less enthusiastic.
In fact, Strictly fans thought the professional dancer was 'faking' his claps after the performance, or at the very least applauding half-heartedly.
Here's what they were saying:
Oooh great spot. Defo fake slow clap.

That's how I've always felt about AJ. I thought it was sneaky when he knew he was on camera.

Of course, the Red Dwarf actor ending up being sent home on last night's results show after only Craig Revel Horwood voted to save him and Amy after the dance-off. The other judges all opted to save fellow bottom two couple Graeme Swann and Oti Mabuse.
It follows after a tricky moment for the two of them in practice began allegations that Danny was bullying his partner, something Amy herself denied later during an appearance on It Takes Two.
"Things did get a little bit intense the other day in rehearsals," she said. "Do you know what? We took a half-hour break and then got straight to it. I never felt threatened or bullied by Danny."
The actor also clashed with former Strictly pro James Jordan, after the dancer made comments about his mother's "miserable" appearance in the audience in a now-deleted tweet.
Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday (November 17) on BBC One.
