Well it's been a long and emotional series, but we had to say goodbye toStrictly Come Dancing 2017 tonight (December 16).

After a tense and entertaining final, our 2017 champion was announced, with Joe McFadden and Katya Jones walking away with the Glitterball Trophy.

However, the night saw plenty of great performances - as well as some not-so-expert chair sitting (*ahem* Bruno).

Here is a round-up of all of tonight's action. Until next year, keeeep dancing.

Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez dance the American Smooth to 'Wouldn't It Be Lovely' from My Fair Lady (Judges' Pick)

Shirley: "You truly captured the essence of everything this final is about. You took everything about the space. We saw a softer side. Exquisite." (Score: 10)

Bruno: "Lovelier than ever. You're greatest quality is that you really gave all your heart and soul in everything you do. It has truth and honesty." (Score: 10)

Craig: "I thought it was absolutely dreadful - because I couldn't find a single thing wrong." (Score: 10)

Darcey: "How you express the feeling through every movement, how you create a narrative through every shape. Every beat of the music you are sensitive to, and that is your strength." (Score: 10)
