Strictly Come Dancing comes to an end on Saturday (19 December), with social media star and singer HRVY having become one of the favourites to win the series.

The 21-year-old will be competing in the Strictly final against comedian Bill Bailey, EastEnders actor Maisie Smith, and Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

HRVY was “discovered” by Blair Dreelan – the lead singer of boyband East 17 – and was signed to Virgin EMI in 2017.

Since then, he has released a number of songs including “Persona”, “Million Ways” and “Good Vibes”.

He has also been presenting CBBC show Friday Download since 2015.

Partnered with professional dancer Janette Manrara, the final will see HRVY will repeat his Jive and his American Smooth to “One (Singular Sensation)” from A Chorus Line. His Showdance will be to “Boogie Wonderland”.

The star is the bookies’ second favourite to win, with odds of 15/8. Bailey is up top with 4/5.

HRVY and Manrara made Strictly history last month by becoming the show’s first ever pair to earn a perfect score in week six, having wowed the judges with their dance to “Sky Full Of Stars” by Coldplay.

Despite never being in the bottom two, HRVY’s journey to the final hasn’t been the smoothest. In last week’s semi-final, he struggled with his Rumba and demonstrated why everyone else has avoided it this series.

Strictly Come Dancing concludes Saturday 19 December at 6pm on BBC One.
